The Flowering Death is an enemy in Omnitopia, found in the Greenhouse.

Battle Strategy[]

The Flowering Death is, without question, the most powerful enemy in the game - they have perfect defenses, 10,000 HP, and high attack power. Even at high levels, a single attack from the Flowering Death will likely hit the 999 damage cap, and they are essentially impervious to any kind of damage. Getting through the Greenhouse, which is required to reach Ruffleberg's Lab, requires the player to pass by rows of Flowering Deaths, several of which will attack as they pass and most likely kill the player instantly.

The player is not intended to fight the Flowering Deaths. In Security Access, the player can deactivate the lights to the Greenhouse. With the lights off, the Flowering Deaths go inert and the player can pass safely.

The Flowering Death can be bypassed safely with the lights on by casting an alchemy spell on them and running past them while they are stunned. However, the Flowering Death by the northern exit of the Greenhouse cannot be targeted and so this trick will not work. However, there are other ways to pass it, the easiest of which is to use a healing formula or spell on the Boy, then run past the Flowering Death as the Dog; while the Boy is immobile from the healing animation, the Dog can run to the teleport beam.

It also possible to skip this final Flowering Death by using the Dog-sniff exploit, but it is fairly difficult to perform. For a list of all possible dog-sniff exploits, go here.

The Wings glitch also works to bypass the Flowering Death.

Player improvement[]

The player gets a measly 600 experience and 100 credits for killing a Flowering Death. A very small reward for the strongest enemy in the game. It is impossible to actually kill one, however.

Trivia[]

  • The final Flowering Death encountered by the player on their initial way to Sidney Ruffleberg does not have the swallow attribute like the other Flowering Death do and cannot be bypassed by normal means.
  • The Flowering Death and the Carniflower are the only monsters in the game that have the swallow attribute.
