The Claws of Thraxx are a secondary target in the battle with Thraxx itself.

Thraxx's claws automatically attack the player, but are immobile and cannot hit the player unless they are close. They can also strike the player when approaching Thraxx's ribcage. The player must use alchemy to hit the claws, or wait for them to come down and then attack with the Bone Crusher.

The Claws each reward a substantial amount of experience and Talons. However, the difficulty in hitting them with melee weapons means it takes a considerable amount of effort to defeat them. If the player has enough Flash and Hard Ball uses to take out the Claws, they may do so if they wish to replenish their hit points by gaining a level.

When the player defeats Thraxx, both Claws will also be destroyed but the player will not gain any experience or. For this reason, the Claws should not necessarily always be ignored but killed instead, if possible. It may prove to be hard, but attacks with the Bone Crusher at level 2 will deal decent damage. Alchemy can also be used but may prove to be costly.

Leveling System[]

Due to an underflow mechanic of the leveling system, the player may see very big numbers in the experience needed value in Stats. For more info about this in the boss fight go here or for general info, go here.

Thraxx, her claws, Magmar (Omnitopia), and Carltron's Robot, are the only enemies which can be killed in a realistic situation to cause this underflow.
