The Rogue is an enemy in Secret of Evermore. This enemy is found near Crustacia in Antiqua. They are pirates that attack by swinging around anchors.

Battle Strategy

The Rogue is one of only two enemies that the player will initially be able to face upon washing up on the shores of Crustacia. They are powerful and dangerous enemies, but they are somewhat slow and can attack at only a relatively short range. Later, the player must fight two of them in a scripted battle on the Western Bank.

They walk 50% slower when walking vertically, similar to how some Dog forms walk/run more quickly in certain directions.

Player Improvement

Rogues give five times as much experience as the Mad Monks, also to be found wandering the beaches, but much fewer jewels, so it is best to focus on Rogues for leveling up, but not for earning money.

Trivia

• At Crustacia, there is an enemy Rogue in the crow's nest on the boat. This Rogue cannot himself attack, but can be attacked, albeit only through alchemy, as the player cannot use their weapons in Crustacia. This is the only case in the game where an enemy is found in such a location.
