The Chocobo Egg is a Charm that can be acquired in Antiqua and Gothica. It gives a flat +45 HP bonus to the player.

The Chocobo Egg can first be acquired in Crustacia. A Mad Monk there will offer to sell the player an Amulet of Annihilation for 10,000 Jewels. If the player purchases it and does not currently own the Chocobo Egg, the Mad Monk will give them the egg in addition to their purchase.

The next place the Chocobo Egg can be acquired is in Nobilia Marketplace. Ceramic Pots randomly contain items in them that can be found when traded for, and they may contain the Chocobo Egg.

Finally, a trader in Ivor Tower Alley will trade the egg for 9 Bead and 9 Perfume. The player must make this trade before fighting Mungola, as the alley closes and the traders cannot be accessed after Mungola's defeat.

The Chocobo Egg in turn can be traded for the Magic Gourd in Nobilia Marketplace. This is a pointless trade as the Gourd does nothing, but the player can do the trade and then re-acquire the egg elsewhere if they wish to acquire all Charms.

The game data reveals that the player would initially have been given a message when they would receive another Chocobo Egg, telling them they can't carry another one. In actual gameplay, the player will never receive such a message, as all sources of obtaining an egg are disabled once the player obtains one. Message: "Dialogue #023A: —Can't carry another chocobo egg"
